I started a few days ago to build the structure of Alcina’s Island/Castle for the next Exhibition organised by le Centre des Monuments Nationaux about two Baroque Magicians: Alcina and Armide. These characters from Le Tasse and L’Arioste ‘s epic poems, Orlando Furioso and La Gerusalemme liberata, published in the XVIth century had a huge influence on the artistic production during the baroque era,up to the early XIXth century.
And I was asked to create Alcina ‘s magical castle island which includes the castle, the lake and enchanted, transformed creatures and Alcina herself
I will show you in this series of videos the progress on this big piece till it is completed.
The exhibition will start at the very end of may.
